What we keep, and why.
We collect as little personal information as we can, and we use what we collect for the purpose you gave it to us — nothing else.
Journal subscriptions
When you subscribe to the journal, we store your email address, the time of consent, and the IP address you submitted from. We use these to send you a confirmation email and, after you confirm, the occasional new post.
Email transmission is handled by Resend. Subscriber records live on a Postgres database we operate. We do not share, sell, or rent subscriber lists.
Every email we send to subscribers contains an unsubscribe link. Clicking it removes your address from the list immediately. You can also write to hello@monarchsystems.space and we will remove you by hand.
Contact form
Messages submitted through the contact form are delivered to us by email and stored only as long as is needed to reply. Submissions that do not lead to an engagement are deleted within twelve months. We do not add contact-form submitters to the journal list.
Retention
Subscriber records persist until you unsubscribe, after which the email address is removed within thirty days. Rate-limit logs and request IPs are retained for thirty days for abuse prevention, then discarded.
Analytics
We do not run third-party analytics on this site. There is no tracking pixel, no advertising cookie, and no behavioural profile being assembled about you here.
Questions
If you have a question about your data, or you want a copy or deletion of anything we hold, write to hello@monarchsystems.space.
